画像は台湾・台北市内にある長榮海事博物館（Evergreen Maritime Museum）の展示エリア「航海探索」の「運河」パネルの一部である。 展示パネルには次のように記される。 The Suez Canal cuts through northeastern Egypt to shorten the connection among Europe, Asia and Africa, often referred to as the 'Throat of the Maritime World'. The canal was finished by French in 1869, which is 190 km long.
